MoEYS Issues Guidelines on Strengthening Health Safety Measures in Public and Private Educational Institutions in Phnom Penh

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has issued guidelines on strengthening health safety measures in public and private educational institutions in Phnom Penh.

According to the instructions the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports,in order to prevent the rapid spread of the virus that infects the public or private schools. The Ministry of Education would like to introduce to the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Phnom Penh, Office of Education, Youth and Sports of the administration and public and private educational institutions with some important points as follows:

First, strengthen the implementation of health measures, wear a face mask and maintain a strict safety gap.

Second, check the health and condition of teachers, educators and students regularly in case of fever above 37.5 degrees Celsius or symptoms such as cough, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath is recommended to seek appropriate health services and give the permission to rest until their health improves, then they will return to work and continue thier studies at the educational institution.

Third, implement teaching and learning in the nursery (no more than 20 students) and take turns for educational institutions with a large number of students, along with teaching and learning online.

Receiving this instruction, the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Phnom Penh is disseminating widely to all offices of education, youth and sports of the district administration and all public and private educational institutions to participate in the implementation effectively.
